Terms of service
Last updated: 2 June 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of the TilingPlan website and application. By creating an account, subscribing, or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use TilingPlan.
Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal data. It forms part of your relationship with us.
1. Who we are
TilingPlan (tilingplan.com) is an online tiling layout tool for professional tilers and related trades, operated by the provider of TilingPlan (“we”, “us”, “our”).
Legal enquiries: [email protected]
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
- You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep your profile up to date where relevant to the service.
- One person or business entity per account unless we agree otherwise in writing. Do not share login credentials across unrelated users.
You may use parts of the editor without an account (free tier). Cloud save, paid features, and account management require registration.
3. The service
TilingPlan lets you:
- Draw and edit floor plans with dimensions, openings, and tiling areas
- Preview tiles, patterns, and layouts
- Export layout images for quotes and client approval
- Optionally save projects to the cloud, sync across devices, and use paid features per your plan
Features and limits depend on your plan. Current plans and comparison details are published on our Pricing page and may change as we improve the product.
TilingPlan is a planning and visualisation tool. It is not structural engineering software, a substitute for on-site measurement, or a guarantee of buildability. You are responsible for verifying dimensions, quantities, and suitability on site before ordering materials or commencing work (see section 12).
4. Plans and feature limits
We offer Free, Pro, and Business tiers. Indicative limits include:
- Free — full tile and pattern library; floor plans with up to 10 walls; watermarked exports; no cloud project save (session-based use without an account, or equivalent limits when signed in on the free tier)
- Pro — cloud save (up to 25 projects), unlimited walls, tile and cut counts, high-resolution exports without watermark, guide image (trace a plan), and related paid features
- Business — cloud save (up to 100 projects), branded exports, client share links, revision history and rollback, and related Business features
Entitlements are enforced in the application and may include fair-use limits (for example storage, export resolution, or project counts). If your usage materially exceeds normal trade use, we may contact you or adjust access.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are available by subscription. Prices and features are shown on our Pricing page and at checkout.
- Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly subscription basis at the prices shown at checkout (typically excluding VAT; VAT will be added where required).
- Payment is processed by Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe, not stored on our servers.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date through your Account settings or the Stripe customer portal.
- Downgrading or cancelling stops future charges; you may retain access to paid features until the end of the current paid period, then limits revert to your new plan.
- Refunds are handled in line with applicable consumer law and our billing policy stated at checkout. Unless required by law, we do not refund partial months after access has been granted.
We may change prices for future billing periods with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price for the next renewal, or you may cancel before renewal.
6. Referral programme
Eligible paid subscribers may take part in our referral programme. Programme rules (rewards, caps, eligibility, and timing) are described in the app and help centre and may change.
- You may not self-refer or abuse the programme with fake accounts or misleading promotion.
- Referral rewards may be subject to tax; you are responsible for your own tax obligations.
- If you delete your account, some referral billing records may be retained in anonymised form as described in our Privacy policy.
7. Your content
Ownership
You retain ownership of floor plans, layouts, guide images, brand assets, and other content you create or upload (“Your Content”).
Licence you grant us
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to provide, secure, and improve the service — including generating exports you request, syncing projects, and running backups.
This licence ends when Your Content is deleted from our systems, except for residual copies in backups for a limited period and anonymised records described in our Privacy policy.
Your responsibilities
- You must have the right to upload and use Your Content (including architect plans and client property data).
- Do not upload unlawful, infringing, or malicious material.
- You are responsible for what you export and send to clients, merchants, or third parties outside TilingPlan.
8. Our intellectual property
We own TilingPlan, including the software, design, tile library data, documentation, and branding. Except for the limited rights in these terms, we grant you no ownership interest.
Subject to your plan and these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the service for your trade or business purposes.
You may not copy, reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or white-label the service without our written consent.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law or encourage others to do so
- Attempt unauthorised access to accounts, systems, or data
- Interfere with or overload the service (including automated abuse or credential stuffing)
- Circumvent plan limits, entitlements, or technical restrictions
- Use the service to distribute malware or harass others
- Misrepresent layouts or quantities as professional certification or structural approval
We may investigate violations and cooperate with law enforcement where required.
10. Service availability and changes
We aim to keep TilingPlan available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, outages, or events outside our reasonable control.
We may add, change, or remove features. Material reductions to paid features on your current plan will be handled fairly (for example notice, compensation period, or pro-rata remedy where required by law).
Offline and browser-local features depend on your device and browser; cloud sync requires connectivity and a valid account.
11. Support
Self-serve help is available in our Help centre and FAQ. Email support may be offered according to your plan and our current support policy. We do not provide emergency or on-site technical support.
12. Planning disclaimer — important
Layouts, dimensions, tile counts, and cut lists are planning aids only. They depend on the measurements and inputs you provide, catalog tile sizes, grout assumptions, and on-site conditions.
- Always verify critical dimensions on site before cutting or ordering.
- Allow appropriate wastage and follow manufacturer and British Standard guidance for your trade.
- We do not warrant that exports are error-free or suitable for a specific installation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume responsibility for professional judgments and client deliverables.
13. Suspension and termination
By you
You may stop using TilingPlan at any time. You may delete your account from Account settings (re-authentication and typing DELETE required).
See our Privacy policy for what is removed and what may be retained in anonymised form.
By us
We may suspend or terminate access if you:
- Materially breach these terms or acceptable use
- Fail to pay subscription fees
- Pose a security or legal risk to us or other users
Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy. Immediate suspension may apply for serious abuse or non-payment.
Effect of termination
On termination, your right to use the service ends. Export your data before deleting your account where possible. Sections that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) continue to apply.
14. Warranties and disclaimers
Except as required by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, that defects will be corrected immediately, or that it will meet every job-site requirement.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits warranties that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other mandatory consumer protections where you use the service as a consumer rather than in the course of a business.
15. Limitation of liability
Business users. If you use TilingPlan in the course of a trade, business, or profession, then to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special loss (including lost profit, lost jobs, or reputational harm).
- Our total aggregate liability arising from or related to the service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of £100 or the fees you paid us in that period for the service (if any).
- We are not liable for loss arising from Your Content, on-site work, material orders, or reliance on layout outputs without independent verification.
Consumers. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be limited by law.
16. Indemnity
If you use the service in the course of a business, you agree to indemnify us against reasonable claims, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from Your Content, your breach of these terms, or your violation of third-party rights — except to the extent caused by our negligence or breach.
17. Third-party services
The service integrates with third parties (for example Supabase, Stripe, and analytics providers). Their terms and privacy policies apply to those interactions. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service, law, or billing model changes. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes may be notified by email or in-app notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
19. General
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your home country if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK.
- Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy policy are the main agreement between you and us regarding the service.
- Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
- Assignment. You may not assign your account without our consent. We may assign our rights in connection with a merger, sale, or reorganisation.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for delay or failure due to events beyond our reasonable control.
